About the Startup Sherpa

sherpaAccording to Wikipedia, the term ‘sherpa’ (the preferred spelling with a lower case first letter) is also used to refer to local people, employed as porters or guides for startup expeditions. They are highly regarded as experts in entrepreneurship and their local terrain, as well as having good physical endurance and resilience to treacherous startup conditions.

The Startup Sherpa is designed to encourage collaboration among entrepreneurs. We are always looking for individuals with a passion for entrepreneurism to share their ups and downs and various experiences of running a startup. If you are interested in contributing to our articles and would like to join us as a contributing blogger, please drop us a line and introduce yourself. If you’d rather lurk around a bit and post a comment here or there, please make yourself comfortable and chime in when the mood strikes you.

  1. Excellent initiative!! My brother has a blog and I realized that it is a good source of info. Count on me for future contributions

  2. Goog idea. I love blogging but I have very little time to devote to it. A shared blog may just work.

I am involved in a startup on a part time basis. That is to say I make my mortgage payment by working for a corporation. Perhaps I can contribute from this perspective.

  3. Great! I’m glad to see this idea get so much early interest. For those of you who are interested in participating, please send me an introductory e-mail to brian@ascendsix.com and let me know who you are, your background and what area(s) you are interested in etc. You will also need to register for http://www.wordpress.com for free and when you have done both of those things I will add you to the list of contributors and you can begin posting your blogs any time you are ready.

I am really looking forward to this joint effort. I think it will be a great way to pool our thoughts and experiences and a good way to get to know each other.

    Brian
